The windshield wipers lasted about half-way through Maryland. (About 2/3's of the way through the rain) They are completely loose at this point and are being blown around the windshield.

There is a section of I-70 that follows the Colorado River through a deep canyon. We spent the night here and rode our bikes on some of the 15 miles of paved trail that is next to the river.

Our first hike - straight up a side canyon to Hanging Lake. The edge (behind me) of this lake is a cliff where the water just falls down the side of the mountain.

The "World's Largest Thermometer" told us that it was 119 as we drove through the Mojave Desert of California. Lacking proper air conditioning, improvisation was the word of the day!
